Because of extremely high local heat transfer coefficient and simple structure, Jet impingement cooling has been used widely in many fileds especially in aerospace technology. Publications show that rotation influences the jet impingement cooling efficiency, and this paper focuses on the effects of rotation on jet impingement cooling. There are three parts in this paper: First of all, the effects of Reynolds number(Rej) of 20000~35000,Rotation number(Ro) of 0~0.0117 and jet-to-plate z/d of 2~4 on single jet impingement cooling were studied through numerical simulation. Results show that the N u increased with Rej; with Ro increasing, the N u first increased and then decreased and finally increased again; Increasing z/d decreased the N u. Then experiments were carried out to give better understanding of effect of Reynolds number(Rej) of 20000~35000 and Rotation number(Ro) of 0~0.00341 on single jet impingement cooling, the results show that N u increased with Rej; With Ro increasing, the N u first increased and then decreased . Finally on the basis of numerical simulation and experimental study of rotational single jet impingement cooling, multiple jets impingement cooling was studied by numerical simulation. The results show that N u increased with Rej; With Ro increasing, the N u first increased and then decreased . Results of this paper show that the effect of rotation on jet impingement cooling was significant, and I hope this paper would give better understanding of rotational jet impingement cooling.
