In order to improve the flight performance of an aircraft and reduce its manufacturing cost it is necessary to research the dynamic property of the whole aircraft and its landing gear system by using the simulation technology. At first, the principal function of ADAMS software is simply introduced and the components of forces acting on the landing gear systems are expressed. With the application of multibody dynamics and based on ADAMS/Aircraft, the mechanical models of nose landing gear and main landing gear are constructed for dynamic analysis. Then, the virtual prototype of the whole aircraft including airframe, nose landing gear, main landing gear is set up to model the full-aircraft system. The validated subsystems were used to build full-aircraft assemblies that could simulate the landing and takeoff of actual aircraft. The above models are used to simulate the dropping test of the landing gear and the taking off of the aircraft. The results obtained in this paper are in good agreement with the testing results. At last, the parametric analysis is made to research how the radius of oil orifices influences the efficiency of landing gear. The work done in this paper is of great value to the dynamic realization of the aircraft and its landing gear system.
