The development and status of communicate networks in power system substation is discussed firstly in this paper. The existing problems of traditional SPDnet with expanding the scale and information diversification are clarified.Then to the problems of different communication protocol's standard in different company and different information are transmitted in separate network, the ideal of building a multi-information integrative transmission network which based on the industrial Ethernet are bring forward, it integrates the video, picture, voice and Information-Searchers, E-mail, Web, media meeting based on the traditional communication network in power system substation, the real-time requirement, network safety, digital multimedia in TCP/IP, transmission model of the communication network are studied and the model for the SPDnet of integrative information transmission based on the industrial Ethernet is design out.The QoS for the real-time operation in SPDnet is analyzed and the significance of Traffic Control is point out. The ideal of whole SPDnet of integrative information transmission is put forward. Take the SCADA, VEDIO-Flow and MIS for example, the flow control program based on gateways is constructed on Linux operation system (OS) which take different bandwidth for different operations. It's take better to solve the question of the QoS in integrative information transmission.At last, a instance of the information transmission at substation is simulated and analyzed by using a new simulation tool—OPNET.
