Network Communication Technology Application In Substation Automation System

This paper expounds the communication channel, the application of network communication in substation automation system communication function, communication protocol, network structure, communication protocol based on IEC 61850 and IEC 61850 Communication Protocol of the digital substation and other content. Starting from the requirements of the station of the communication network of substation integrated automation system, explains some basic concepts of some technology and network communication of the network communication, summarizes the practical application of network communication technology in substation automation system, and make a brief description of the future development of substation integrated automation system.Any information and data relay protection device for computer and network environment of power system operation and fault can be obtained from the Internet, can also be any information and data are protected the original transfer it gets to the network control center or any terminal. This requires each protection unit can share the whole system operation and fault information data, each protecting unit and reclosing device based on the analysis of the information and data on the coordination action, ensure the stable operation of the system. Obviously, the realization of the basic condition of this kind of system protection is to connect computer network protection device for main equipments of the whole system, realize the network of microcomputer protection device, it is entirely possible in today’s technical conditions.
