Magnetic suspension bearing is a new kind of bearing. Rotor is suspended in the air without machine friction and lubrication utilizing. The rotor position can be controlled by controller. It is a high-new technical equipment related to the fields of machinery, electron, control, sensing and computer.Traditional active magnetic bearing is composed of rotor, electromagnet, sensor, controller and power amplifier. The rotor position can be exactly measured by displacements sensor and exactly located by the controllers. So under the disturbance forces, the rotor may return to the original position rapidly and exactly by changing the driver currents.A novel hybrid permanent radial bearing is presented in this thesis, whose biased magnetic field is produced by the permanent material. In the active magnetic bearing, it is often produced by the electromagnet. In the hybrid magnetic bearing proposed in this thesis, the electromagnet only provides the forces to balance the variation of the disturbance force. The number of ampere turns of the hybrid magnetic bearing is only half of the active bearing with the same carrying capacity. It can greatly reduce the power loss produced by the biased current, so the quantity of heat of the power amplifier is reduced and the energy is saved.The major work of this thesis is presented as follows:A novel hybrid permanent radial bearing is presented in this paper.Hybrid radial magnetic bearing is designed by the magnetic circuit method. And the calculation results are validated by ANSYS. a kind of finite element analysis software.The two-degree control model of magnetic bearing is established. The controller of magnetic bearing is simulated by means of the toolbox of Simulink in Matlab. The simulation results show that magnetic bearing can run stably controlled by PID controller designed.The digital control system for the magnetic bearing system proposed is designed with single-chip microcomputer C8051F005.
