Haycite concrete is a new building material which has many advantages such as light weight, high heat insulation and inherent fire resistance, etc. It has been applied widely abroad and achieved great economical and technical efficiency. On the contrary, China is very backward as its study and application in structure in contrast with the other countries. The test beams were to be designed with two concrete strength grades of LC20 and LC30, having moment amplitude-modulation coefficients of 15%,20%,25% respectively. The specimens were two-equal-span continuous beams to carry concentrated loads symmetrically. The reactions on the end suppords, the deflections at midspan, the strains in the longitudinal reinforcement bars at the concentrated load points and midsupport, the crack widthes were observed. Based on the test results of 6 beams, we obtain the followingconclutions:(1) The moments on continuous haycite concrete beams can beredistributed fully. The amplitude-modulation coefficients is controlledby the crack widthes under service-load conditions. The upper limitamplitude-modulation coefficient is 20%.(2) The performance of haycite beforce cracking coincides with the elastic law. The result of elastic analysis fits the experiment result.
