The Research Of Distance Protection Based On Artificial Neural Network

The paper discusses Neural Network distance protection aiming at the question in traditional distance protection. Throwing traditional distance protection principle ,applying pattern recognition in protection ,fault can be deled with much fault information .There are three subnets in this protection——oscillating recognition subnet, fault measuring and phase selecting subnet and fault locating subnet. After various fault simulations to the selected power system model using electromagnetism transience simulation software. The investigation shows that applying ANN in the most complex protection distance protection is feasible. Moreover it has many advantages. Such as it can throw the concept of impedance relay. It also can be said that it can realize any acting character that can't be showed with math expression.The simulation can prove that the theory of this protection is simply and the reliability is high.
