Dynamic matrix control (DMC) use step response measured easily as model. It has good control performance and strong robustness. So extensive recognition and application can be taken in the territory of process control. The calculation of inverse matrix is involved in chief in multi-variable system. The computation quantity is very large and restrains on-line application. This paper presents a simplified DMC design method. A decay factor is introduced to make the control increment come to zero in the control horizon. Aims at this ideal two schemes are given, which will reduce the computation quantity of inverse matrix. The calculation amount decreases a lot and the velocity is heightened. And Computer simulation of these two schemes on primary steam pressure object, primary steam temperature object and unit load control system are given, simulation results have proved that the effectiveness of the strategy proposed can gain satisfying effect.
