On the base of reading a great deal of domestic and overseas information, thispaper discusses the serious threat to the human survivorship and health due to theenvironmental pollution caused by the automobile tail gas, and makes a furthercomprehensive comment on the essential methods of controlling tail gas pollutionfor new cars and the present technologies applied to the present-used carburetortype engine vehicles. Based on above analysis, this paper researches theapplications of magnetic fuel in the controlling of automobile exhaust and studiesthe structure of magnetic machines, the result of decreasing the automobileexhaust, and the theory of reducing exhaust emissions by using magnetic fuel. Themagnetic action is widespread acceptable, that is, in the magnetic field, somechanges take place in the microcosmic structure of the fuel, such as the attractionbetween molecules of the fuel decreasing, the activity of the molecules of the fuelincreasing . These varieties are advantageous to the combustion. And this paperpoints out the shortage in present researches on the magnetization. For example,there are not enough studies of the changes of the magnetic fuel on physical andchemical capacities, and no further researches on the effect by changing ofmagnetic strength and magnetizing time. And puts forward query about the higherresult of lowering exhaust emissions by using magnetize fuel, and sets up aviewpoint that magnetizing process needs some time.This paper makes analysis of ozone helping combustion in theory ofchemistry. According to the Arrhenius Equation and the theory of molecular"touching each other"in the chemical reaction, not all the molecular touching inthe chemical reaction is effective, only some powerful molecules can makereaction after touching. The active ability Ea is the minimum power to the powerof the effective touching. If Ea is lower, it needs a small quantity of power to makean effective touching take place, the reaction velocity is rapid. On the contrary, itneeds more power, the reaction velocity is tardy. The value of Ea depends on thepower of the molecule key, from those attend the chemical reaction as fuel andthose oxidizer. The power of the oxygen molecule key is 498KJ/mol, and of theozone molecule key is 146.5KJ/mol. So changing oxygen to ozone may lower Ea,and the velocity of combustion may be increased. Based on the analyzing in theory of the magnetic fuel and ozone helpingcombustion, the magnetizer was designed according to magnetism, and the sourceof electricity and the pipe used to produce ozone was designed according to thetheory of the discharge of the electrical aperture. This paper researches on the tail gas controlling of the present-usedcarburetor type engine vehicles, and making use of magnetic fuel and ozone. There are four parts of the experiment: 1.The experiment on the physical and chemical capacities of the magneticfuel, studying its changes on the physical and chemical capacities of the magneticfuel. 2.The magnetize time contrast experiment, studying the effects of tail gasemissions under different magnetic time at idle speed. 3. Some experiments did at idle speed, studying the effect of tail gas emissionsby magnetic fuel and ozone together. 4. In order to investigating the effect of purifying under the different operationconditions, in accordance with the national standards of emission controlling, a testis carried out on the test-bed simulating the operation on the automotive chassisdynamometer. The conclusions as following: 1. The magnetic fuel has some effects on lowering the emission of carbonmonoxide (CO) and hydrocarbon (HC) of the carburetor type engine vehicle,about 30% of them can be decreased by, but it has nothing to do with nitrogenoxide (NOx). If ozone is introduced to the intake pipe at idle speed, the emissionof carbon monoxide (CO) can be decreased by about 50%, and hydrocarbon (HC)can be reduced about 36%. 2. The reason of the magnetic fuel decreasing the emission is that the interiorstructure of molecules had some microcosmic changes, for example the attractionbetween molecules decreased, and the physical and chemical capacities of the fuelhave some changes in macroscopic appearance. The result is that after beingmagnetized, the beginning distillation temperature of gasoline decreases by 5℃,and the freezing point of the diesel oil reduces 2℃, and the flashing point of the...
