| Soil nailing technique has already been applied in soft soil deep foundation pit within the littoral. But its application in soft soil deep foundation pit (depth over 12 meters) is fresh in Sichuan province. In order to investigate the application of soil nailing technique in the soft soil deep foundation pit supporting, extend its application, perfect its design method, enrich its research content, the soil geologic test data, design parameter and monitor data of a vertical wind tunnel deep foudation pit at north region of Sichuan are combined in this paper, the relevant problems are studied on the base of predecessor's investigation.The main work as follows: (1) Firstly, based on literature review of relevant domestic and international research findings, the bearing capacity of the soil nailing is summarized in detail; (2)The design process and the construction craft of soil nailing are introduced; (3)The random search method and the probability theory are adopted to proceed internal stability analysis of the foundation pit on the base of finite slice method . The gravity retaining wall theory is adopted to proceed exterior stability analysis; (4)The numerical simulation method is adopted to get the distribution of the soil stress and the displacement variety of some points during the excavating and supporting process. Some characteristics of the soil nailing supporting are gotten by numerical simulation to guide the engineering practice; (5)The gray prediction model and line neural network model are conducted to predict the displacement variety of some monitor points based on the part of monitor data.According to the theory analysis, the numerical simulation and the engineering practice, it can be concluded that soil nailing technique can be applied in the soft soil deep foundation pit supporting in Sichuan province . This paper provides the theory and the successful engineering example for extending the technique in Sichuan province.
