Initial Research On History Of Utilization And Exploitation Of Geothermal Resource In Shanxi Province

The geothermal resource was utilized directly by the ancient human being in the remote antiquity and it is more greatly potential new energy on the exploitation in the future. Shanxi's geothermal resource is very rich and famous and the thermal spring attributed widely in the ancient. The history of utilization of Shanxi's geothermal resource is longer than that in other provinces. The thesis makes a textual research to the first time and ways about geothermal resource utilization in ancient Shanxi and presents the history of geothermal resource exploited from the remote to the contemporaries. The thesis discusses the present problems existing in the exploitation, and also gives some advice. This is an initial research on geothermal resource in Shanxi Province for the sake of more cultural people taking it into account.The thesis consists of five sections, of which the first, the second and the third parts are important elementary.The first section gives the outline, comparing utilization and exploitation of geothermal resource in the domestic with overseas, demonstrates it's potential value in Shanxi Province.The second part not only illustrates the time and the ways of first utilization of geothermal water but also gathers and analyzes the views on the cause of formation and the summary of therapy experience of thermal spring in ancient China. It reflects the progress of knowing nature and science development on geothermal resource.The third section introduces the utilization and exploitation of geothermal resource and the tendency in the future in modern Shanxi Province. Firstly, it explains the basic theory of cause of formation from the angle of geology, and the therapy experience from the point of chemistry and medicine in modern China. Then it presents the three stages of exploiting geothermal resource, concluding the stages from 1970's to 1980's, 1980's to 1990's and after 1990's, in contemporary Shanxi.
