Flat-panel detector measures to be one of promising techniques in modern radiation testing for it's real-time digital imaging and diagnosis. But the research and application of flat-panel detector are few in China. The digital imaging technology of X-ray testing, as an expert subject, has not been studied adequately yet. So digital image capturing of PaxScan 2520 flat-panel detector and techniques of digital image processing are researched in this dissertation.The theory of real-time digital imaging of flat-panel detector is studied. Working principles of PaxScan 2520 detection system are investigated and image capturing and processing software for detection system is developed.The procedure to correct images and reduce noises was analyzed, then factors of image degradation such as random noise, bias, response nonuniformity and bad pixels are all restrained. In order to stretch contrast, suppress noise and stress details, many kinds of image-enhancement algorithm including grey-level revising, smoothing and sharpening are studied.The techniques of image mosaic is a very important issue of the image processing, especially in the application of X-ray testing system for the big component. The current characteristic and basic arithmetic for the techniques of image mosaic is researched. The method of exactly fix overlapped regions is put forward, and it can mosaic two partial overlapped images into a large image.An X-ray image capturing and processing base on PaxScan 2520 command processor is designed and its software is also developed according to different function module.In conclusion, the image capturing and processing software for PaxScan 2520 detection system can accomplish multi-form image-capturing and...
