Being involved with so many modern high-tech approaches, simulation system has greatly widened the visual field of human beings and promoted our ability. It has played an important role in scientific research, and can identify the capability of imaging guidance missile in a short time and in an economic way. Since IR images possess the characteristics such as pure data and plain, it can be operated in computer and produce dynamic images to simulate the features of the infrared as well as its movement contrail.Infrared image simulator is a central device in hardware-in-loop simulation of IR imaging guidance missiles. By the use of computer created images and a real-time synthesization of the target image with the background image, it can simulate the infrared features of the target and its movement contrail of the missile. Using the computer creating the real-time dynamic images and real-time synthesizing the target image and background image, driving the hardware circuit device to generate target-background IR image.The main content of this thesis is about a simulation of tracking a spot and attacking a target with IR imaging guidance missiles, which includes the establishment the math modeling, the production of the dynamic images by programming, and the use of the Broadcast Memory SBS technique to accomplish the real-time transmitting of IR image and real-time synthesizing of IR image.Firstly, by the analysis IR radiation characteristic of target on environmental background, and the attenuation characteristic of IR radiation through atmosphere, the calculation formula of IR radiation of target is discussed. The design ideas and implementation method to generate dynamic IR images with computer are addressed in this paper.Secondly, during the design of IR image real-time simulation's software and Geometrically Modeling, the IR targets are discussed in detail in this paper, including reading the 3DS modeling from the file and evaluating the IR temperature to every module of the 3DS modeling, then by the use of the Open Graphics Library (OpenGL), which transfers vertexes' coordinates, draws three dimension scenes, generates and saves dynamic IR images and by the ways of employing the Broadcast Memory SBS technique to real-time image transmitting and real-time image receiving , the real-time target-background image is produced.The research in the paper plays an important role in IR imaging guidancesimulation work, The target-background's IR images are true to nature, and the rate of producing IR images is greatly increased. It can function as a foundation for the research of driving the hardware circuit device to generate the IR image and may do some help to the dynamic real-time generation research in the future.
