The harmonic in the power system is a momentous subject, involved in electric power, power system, technology of electric automatization and theory electrician. The problem of high harmonic current and low power factor in power system is a subject that addresses more and more academic interests. Due to the broad application of electric power equipments, this problem has drawn much attention not only from power enterprises but from management sectors as well. In the mean time, the rapid progress in computer technology, signal processing theory and methods and the sharp decline in the prices of DSP chips have led the application of DSP to a more profound extent.In order to monitor power network and warrant the electric equipments to operate properly, this paper presents a design of intelligent power dispensation integral test device, which contains the functions of measuring instruments consist of voltage meter, electric current meter, energy meter, power-factor indicator, load indicator, voltage monitoring instrument, harmonic analysis instrument and reactive-load compensation control unit.Emphasis of the paper are laid on following: Overall design of the system and the designs of functional modules; Design of hardware, including power circuit, signal conditioning circuit, A/D transfer circuit, communication interface, Keyboard and LCD display circuit; Detailed introduction of the inner structure and operating principle of some kinds of hardware; Detailed introduction of the wiring and the anti-interference methods in the design of printed circuit board; Software design, including the programming of master-control program, the programming of A/D transfer, the realization of self-adaptive integral period sampling, the programming of FFT with assemble language, the programming of keyboard/LCD service and the programming of USB communication.
