In recent years, with the development of society and economy, there is a great improvement in the demand of power, and the situation is increasingly serious.Furthermore, more and more nonlinear load are used , there are a lot of harmonic in power system. It is harm to power system badly. So it is necessary to measure power parameters and harmonic reliablely and in real time. The paper discusses the development of equipment that is based on DSP,which is used to measure power parameters and harmonic.Firstly, the paper puts forward the importance and actuality of measurement of power parameters, then it presents the problem and harm of harmonic in power system, and discusses approach based on theory of instantaneous reactive power and algorithm FFT in harmonic analysis. There is an improvement on FFT through adding widow and interposing, and the two measurements meet the requirement through emulational experiment; Because of its practicability and catholicity, also in order to be convenient for system designing,FFT is introduced. Finally based on Tms320vc33 DSP,we designed the hardware part including data-collecting unit,data-processing unit, communicating unit and PC unit.also designed software part of the equipment system. In designing process,in order to improving sampling's precision ,MAX125 is used to converting data;Tms320vc33 is the core of data processing, which advance operation speed rapidly; Pc can communicate with DSP system through RS-232 interface's designing; At last, througn VC++ and Microsoft SQL designing ,it provides a good user interface. The equipment can measures current, vortage, power, energy, power factor and harmonic etc.,it also can Stat data, anaylsis, print through PC.It has the advantages of rapid operation Reliability and prolating easily.
