Direct design of hull structure is a systematic engineering which cover many aspect, it includes rational determination of design loads acting on the ship hull, correct analysis the stress and deform of hull structural and constitute corresponding strength standard scientific, these three parts is a correlation integer which can not be divided. As mid-ship is one of the most important parts of the hull, proper structure design of mid-ship is an important problem of the direct design. Begin with naval ship structure direct design, this article development a Finite Element Analyze (FEA) parametric modeling program by using the parametric method, and than applied it to the optimization of mid-ship structure.Structure direct calculation methods have succeed in commercial ship design, but in the naval ship design, it still underway, there have no guidelines for direct analysis in our naval ship rules. This paper study on naval ship structure direct design methods by reference the commercial direct calculation methods and naval ship structure design rules.Parametric technology is a subject that first put forward in the practice of CAD and is an important developing subject in the field. In this article, the author development a fast FEA model program of naval structure analysis by bring parametric idea into the naval ship structure FEA model. Correspond Thickness Method (CTM) is used extensively in the field of mid-ship structure design, in this article it will be integrated with FEM parametric modeling by applied to ship structure design.Furthermore, the author also aim at the fact that nodal stress concentration have great influence on fatigue in ship structure nodal fatigue problem, seeking the minimum Stress Concentration Factor(SCF) by nodal shape optimization.
