DSP has the Harvard bus construction that the procedure separates with the data, the flowing waterline processor, appropriative hardware multiplication machine, and vivid modes of address, which improves instruction-executing speed. So kinds of arithmetic of digital signal processor are realized. At the same time, along with the consumer more and more high to the request of the product quantity, the current technique have can't satisfy the request that what customer put forward is more strictly with the demand of the actual production. So, The author applies the DSP to electromagnetic nondestructive-testing realm, and has been beginning to research NDT system based on digital signal processor. The text describes this field backgroud and has discussed the theory of electromagnet nondestructive testing device based on digital signal processing, then offers a blueprint of electromagnetic nondestructive-testing system. The paper puts the emphasization on the detailed system of the design of front analog device, hardware and software of digital signal processor device, and has analysised the stability of the signal in the system. The author also analysises carefully the implement of fast fourier transform (FFT), the most classical application on the digital signal processment, based on the point-bit DSP processor. Finally a series of cold cast iron was tested. The results indicate that the correlative signal of testing parameter was picked-up more accurately and faster, making use of arithmetic of FFT with filter function in the NDT system based on digital signal processor of TMS320LF2407.
