Based on the platform of Distribution Automation, this paper does some research and analysis on several electric characteristics, from which single phase-to-ground fault could be distinguished. In the paper, a logical space of model is built and a new logical algorithm is proposed. This algorithm considers synthetically electric character of the whole nodes of power networks and electric rules, and accept the effect of logic "0", which play the same role as logic "1". Otherwise, the paper gives theoretical proof and evolution of how the algorithm comes into being, and defines error-admit function. Lastly, the algorithm is validated by three examples in three aspects.
