Following to the execution of leaping development strategy, China railway large-scale speed-up times are approaching. Owing to the deficiency in the design theory and practice, there is an urgent demand to study the design criterion of plan location and longitudinal profile of railway line for both high/medium speed passenger dedicated line transportation and express passenger/low-speed freight transportation. In this thesis, the research was done combining with the proofing work of the design criterion of plan location and longitudinal profile of Fuzhou-Xiamen railway engineering project. A new railway vehicle-track structure coupled dynamical theory is applied which changed the traditional concept of analyzing method of formulating the former railway line basement design criterion with the research of vehicle dynamical characteristics separated. Based on the dynamical systematical study on the safety and stability analysis of railway vehicles, the railway line design criterion for 200km/h passenger and freight transportation is proposed in this thesis. The research result can provide a scientific theory for study on the location design of railway line for both high/medium speed passenger dedicated line transportation and express passenger/low-speed freight transportation, and is of important reference values for formulating and emending the design criterion and specifications.
