Some basic theories of masonry structures such as relationship between strain and stress, failure criteria etc are discussed in this paper. The walls with concrete small hollow block have been analyzed by MSC.Marc FEA software. Compressive characteristic of concrete small block walls with concrete columns is carried on numerical method. Concrete small hollow block walls of different ratio of height to width under horizontal load and vertical load have been analyzed.To concrete small hollow block walls with concrete core columns, different ratio of core columns and different strength of the core columns modes of grout for concrete small block walls have been made. Cracking resistant load and ultimate load for all kinds of walls have been confirmed. Strength and deformation behaviors for all kinds of block walls have been analyzed. Characteristic of different ratio of core columns and different strength of the core columns block walls have been made clearly. The well precision of results by nonlinear finite element method for block walls are proved though comparison of code for design of masonry structures and calculation results. It is meaning to research on the compressive characteristic of concrete small hollow block walls with concrete core columns in order to make use of the material well and improve characteristic of the walls.To concrete small hollow block walls, five modes of block walls of different ratio of height to width have been made. The Characteristic of the block walls of different ratio of height to width with horizontal load and vertical load have been analyzed. Strength and deformation behaviors for all kinds of block walls have been analyzed .The development of crack of the block walls have been described in detail. It is normal appearance for walls under horizontal load and vertical load. The research is meaningful to enrich the theories of masonry structure and guide the engineering design.
