As a new kind of masonry material, concrete small-sized hollow block has been widely used recent years because of land reservation and energy saving. But now it hasn't fashioned the ripe theory studying mechanics performance of the concrete small-sized hollow block, especially simulation of the failure process. So this limits the extensive appliance of the concrete small-sized hollow block. The thesis numerically simulates the failure process of the concrete small-sized hollow block by ANSYS on the base of domestic and international stuff of mechanics performance of the concrete small-sized hollow block, and it offers new ways of design of the concrete small-sized hollow block. Main contents of this thesis are summarized as follows:1. First this thesis introduces mechanics performance of the concrete small-sized hollow block, especially the compression strengths and the stain-stress relationship in detail. It knows that variant mechanics models are used variant sides, and variant mechanics models have variant localizations. Otherwise this thesis introduces the stain-stress relationship and the failure criteria of concrete.2. Then this thesis expatiates nonlinear analysis and finite element method. This thesis introduces relevant knowledge of finite element method, and solutions of nonlinear problems. It also introduces software ANSYS for next jobs.3. At last this thesis numerically simulates the failure process of the concrete small-sized hollow block by ANSYS. It is the emphasis of the thesis. It simulates the failure process of the concrete small-sized hollow block on the base of MISO and the Saenz Stain-Stress Relationship by Solid65 and the Willam-Warnke Failure Criteria. In the end this thesis receives the character of the failure process and stress distribution law according to MISES. So that offers mechanics gists to the design and appliance of the concrete hollow block. ANSYS simulants the crack distribution of the concrete hollow block, and this thesis receives the character of the failure process.And this probes into the appliance of finite element in the study of the concrete hollow block.The LOAD-DISPLACEMENT CURVE can describe the failure process of the concrete hollow block: elasticity phase, nonlinear phase, failure phase.The textual research can direct numerical simulation of failure process of physical models in lab. It offers new ways of research of the new concrete hollow blocks.
