Elevators, special equipments which use electric power to realize perpendicular transportation, are indispensably and widely applied in high-level constructions. It is fatal to an elevator that weather or not it can function safely, comfortably, securely and sparely.As the most important means in the elevator industry field, elevator group control system(EGCS) is drawing more and more attentions. The core part in EGCS is the scheduling strategy which actually an arithmetic. The arithmetic makes mathematical analyses bases on elevator group function signals, and then gives control commands accordingly to every elevator that in the group to let the whole EGCS harmoniously and effectively works. So the elevator group control system, which has excellent scheduling strategy, can greatly improve running efficiency and save energy sources.Facing the day-by-day improvement of computer technology but limited hardware supports, we widely use the way that makes virtual physical model instead of actual one by computer. The virtual elevator group control system is the one that developed based on this right virtual skill and Programmable logic controller (PLC) to provide a virtual simulation platform to EGCS. This paper will give the most scheme details including its feasibility analysis, designation and development process.The virtual Elevator group control system supposes the computer and PLC as an actual elevator and makes the computer as the car and well of elevator group control system. Sending the manipulative information of visual elevator to PLC by serial port used Microsoft' s MSCOMM, personal computer receives the state of output port which decides the running instance of visual elevator so as to control elevator. All manipulative information and running result are displayed on the computer screen and it is convenient simple and easy to use.Under Boland Company' s Delphi7.0 IDE, we can accomplish serial communication between OMRON's CS1G-CPD42-V1 PLC and personal computer while we also design and accomplish an elevator group control system triumphantly. This system can also been used in undergraduate' s integrative experiments and meanwhile save much cost for buying hardware.
