| The research on MR fluids had been attached more importance to as a late-model material, and its function had also become broad. Because of its advanced properties, it is widely used in aspects such as fluid drive, automobile reduction of vibration, machinery, and high-rise building, television tower, long span grid structure and long span bridge semi-active control of earthquake in engineering structures, and so on. Specific research topics that will be focused on are: First, a comprehensive survey on the research status and history of Magnetorheological (MR) fluids will be first presented, and also presented summary of development, basic ideas, and its composition, properties, mechanisms, mechanical model and its applications in engineering are discussed in this article also. Second, for simply supported and cantilever sandwich beam with MRF, we studied the vibration behavior of MRF sandwich beam for different magnetic field, and analysis the effects of vibration suppression of MRF cantilever simply supported and sandwich beam for MRF.Third, we studied vibration behavior of MRF sandwich beam by FEM method, constituted two-dimensional MRF model, formed unite matrix for respective layers, then superposed ,and enduced MRF sandwich beams' dynamical equation. Based these, we studied the vibration behavior of MRF sandwich beam. Last, begin with the properties of MR fluids, and considered MR fluids as visco-elasticity material when subjected small deformation, small and medium magnetic field, based on linear visco-elasticity theory, according to references [3,4] energy method and functional analysis, we studied vibration control equation of MRF sandwich beam. And based on these equations, we got the natural frequency, loss factor and frequency function for MRF, and studied the effects to the structure for the thickness of MRF. |
