Study In The Suzhou Classic Garden Decoration Symbol Mark

The Chinese classic gardens belong to the carrier of art, Suzhou classic gardens are the most representative of them, They are one kind of the ground articles written by the intelligentsia . The decoration marks of construction in which they have the most visual impulse have the abundant information carrier concerning cultural connotation, and have expressed the symbolic art of the Chinese literature.Most of the Suzhou classic gardens in existence were constructed in the Ming and Qing Dynasties time. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties time, Suzhou was center of the Chinese economy and culture and had the unique culture style created. The Suzhou classic gardens have been influenced , so those decorative patterns contain the characteristic of Suzhou folk custom and also have reflected Suzhou intelligentsia's political ideal, the morality and the aesthetic psychology in the ancient times, so become the direct measures for us to understand the ancient civilization of China .There are a lot of the monographs on the Chinese garden art, but the main contents of their research are the overall layout and the figure. We have few monographs on the construction pieces and their culture researches and have seldom seen culture interpretation about decoration symbol marks of the Suzhou classic garden.In this thesis I research the Suzhou classic garden decorative patterns according to this unique angle , so take Suzhou classic garden in existence as an object, and photographed 1,000 pieces of decorations mark, earnestly reorganize and divide. So I study the culture connotation of decoration mark about the Suzhou classic garden.
