Compare with the developed countries of the world, the line-loss rate of the power network of China is still high, so the potential of power save is also great. By the management conceptions of the power company have been upgraded, the line-loss rate of the power network of China will be advanced in the world with adopting modern management method, giving up extensive management, making better use of quantitative, operable and examinable scientific management methods, reducing the irrational line-loss to the least as it can be. This is not only the main aspect of the modern management of the power company, but also the necessary condition for the development of the power company. The methods of reducing the line-loss of the 10kV power distribution network of Mianzu have been studied in this paper in aspects of currents, voltages, power factors and load shape coefficients. The analyses and calculations for the load flow and the grid-loss of the power network of Mianzu have been put up at first by setting up models with the actual conditions of the power network of Mianzu; The laws of switching compensating capacitors and adjusting transformer taps have been researched by computing the load flow and the grid-loss with principles of the reactive power compensation, and the methods of compensating system reactive power have been brought forward with principles of the reactive power compensation; The models of calculating the network load flow, reactive power distribution and reactive power compensation have been set up with the real-time data based on synthetical automatization by the property of the power network, and the calculation for the grid-loss of power network of Mianzu has been studied according to the model which be set up; In order to make the network rebuilding more economical ,let the rebuilding can satisfy the development of the city in several years, reduce the line-loss of the network and improve the reliability of the power supply in cities. The four elements which are currents, voltages, power factors and load shape coefficients, which affect the line-loss of 10kV power distribution network, have been deeply researched. These researches will provide some theoretic supports to reduce line-loss of the distribution network further.
