With changes of manufacturing system in both interior and exterior environment, the control of it is becoming more and more complex and difficult. Since traditional workshop control can not adapt to the unpredictable changing environment any longer, this paper puts the agent technology into manufacture, and creates an agent-based adhered slice for workshop control. Such slice may fulfill distribution and autonomy in manufacturing system and settle problems existing in centralized or hierarchical structure traditionally. Thus workshop control with intelligence, agility and self-adaption will be truly realized. As showed the slice provides an efficient method to the implementation of intelligent control and flexible management in workshop. On the basis of a thorough analysis about Artificial intelligence, Bluetooth technology and Multi-agent technology, an agent-based adhered slice for workshop control is created. And the architecture, functions and working principles of the slice are detailedly introduced in the paper. Besides the paper gives a deep and thorough analysis to each functional module respectively. As communication protocol is one of main steps to realize intelligence of the slice, there is no doubt for the significance of its research and the value of its application. This paper designs communication protocol of the slice in workshop system, and some views and solutions are cited here. At the same time communications protocol for slices is created, which enables the slice has the abilities of communication and mutual understanding. Mobile communication is the future of communication. Therefore, by using Bluetooth technology, communication among agent-based adhered slices is built up. In the system data and information transmit through wireless way, thus the communication among agents of each other is truly realized. Finally, workshop simulation system for schedule control by agent-based adhered slice has been discussed, which animates the communication of agents and reached the aim of simulation indeed.
