The historical earthquake damage indicates that the damage of buildings is the main form by earthquake damage in cities. The most effective measures, which improve comprehensive ability of earthquake-resistant, decrease seismic damage to the maximum degree for the cities, are as follows: predicting the destruction of buildings, economic losses and casualties scientifically; analyzing the weak point in the earthquake-resistant and damage- prevention from a city and putting forward the defending counter-measure. Analysis on the measures which are the main contents of earthquake-resistant and damage-prevention of a city has most important realistic meanings.On the basis of the layout of earthquake-resistant and damage prevention of Yibin City, researches on damage prediction and correspond countermeasures of buildings have been carried on in two aspects as follows:Firstly, have carried on the analysis contrast of the method of prediction of earthquake calamity of domestic and international building, general method, the pluses and minuses and scope of application to summarize prediction of earthquake calamity of the buildings, have put forward subject matter and settlement measure existing in prediction of earthquake calamity of the building at present.Secondly, Investigate the current situation of ancient building of urban area of Yibin , Have explained the method of prediction of earthquake calamity and step of the main type of ancient building of urban area of Yibin, provide the calculation instance of prediction of earthquake calamity, Have finished prediction of earthquake calamity of ancient building , earthquake economic losses , the homeless and casualty's estimation in the urban area of Yibin, point out the weak link of taking precautions against natural calamities in antidetonation of ancient building of urban area of Yibin , has put forward the corresponding countermeasure of defending..Because of above-mentioned research, there are the main conclusions drawn:①The prediction of earthquake calamity of the building is a fuzzy , systematic , complicated problem, the existing method regard statistics law of the earthquake , expertise , theory analysis and experimental study as more bases, each have good and bad and specific scope of application.②Should direct against different building condition , place condition , intensity of earthquake and already experienced etc., adopt different prediction methods to carry onthe prediction of earthquake calamity of the building, in order to predict the result reaches anticipated accuracy, dependability and effectiveness;③ Set up earthquake matrix from 6 degrees to 9 degrees of earthquakes function after setting up 3 kinds of ancient buildings of urban area of Yibin, become the important basis of instructing antidetonation to take precautions against natural calamities.
