| Transmission is one of the key components influencing various performances of automobile. Its main part is gear transmission system working in complicated condition whose performance will influence the automobile performances directly. Compared with traditional gear design analytical method and finite element static analytical method, Gear meshing dynamic performance analytical method can obtain more information and analyze the performance of the system more accurately in the meshing process. The transient performance of the five speed gears of the transmission was studied in this paper, after the general conditions of studying dynamics of gears transmission system at home and abroad had been analyzed. In this paper, based on the study of the method of applying the boundary condition and the load and defining the contact between the gears etc key problems, the elastic contact FEA method was used to build up the full three-dimensional FEA model of the gear mesh system, and then the model was calculated on the computer to simulate the meshing between the gears. In the calculated result, the displacement, velocity an acceleration information of all of the nodes and the stress and strain information of all of the elements can be obtained easily, which lead studying the transient performance of gear meshing is more comprehensive and easily. In this paper, the calculated result was analyzed in details and then the stress distribution and the vibrating condition and the change of them everywhere on the gear were obtained during the meshing course. And the transient stress distribution along the breadth of the tooth and depth of tooth were further studied. Then the dynamic analytical method was used to analyze the influence of the transient performance caused by the change of structure parameter of the gear and profile modification. By calculating, the result showed the changing tend caused by the change of structure parameter distinctly and the transient performance of the modified gear was improved greatly, and which make out that the dynamic analysis method can guide choosing the structure parameter and profile modification during the design of the gear. |
