As other concrete structures, the steel tube-confined concrete (STCC) structure will be assaulted unavoidably in their service time.Along with the STCC was used in wide-ranging fields such as building, traffic, nuclear power station, military field and so on, the research of antiassaulting performance of the STCC become more important.This paper selected the STCC with round section as the research object, which adopt the engineering common restraint type as fixed-simple supported and cantilever. The dynamics response ofthe STCC is studied from different aspects subjected to a transverse impact by drop stamp testing method, the FEM software ANSYS/LS-DYNA simulation and dynamics plasticity theory analysis. On this basis, focal research has been done about the STCC's dynamic response and critical condition of buckling destroying generation subjected to the transverse impact during static axial compression.Drop stamp testing method is mainly counter to the two restraint type's STCC structures with the different steel tube wall sickness, their span long is 1200 mm and 600 mm, diameter is 114 mm. Focal research has been done to the influence factors about the finally out of shape, impact force's acting time and average value, impact force's peak value and impact position's acceleration by changing the impact speed, steel tube wall thickness and the restraining type. The critically destroying energy value has been confirmed to the every type structure.The large-scale non-linear dynamics FEM software ANSYS/LS-DYNA is utilized to simulate the model testing process.The finally getting out of shape is adoptted as the adjust standard to the model parameter, and the test content has been expanded further. The STCC dynamic respond 's whole course and influencing factors are got through the numerical simulation, and sure reference is offered to study the STCC's antiassaulting performance further.This paper combines the STCC's unified strength theory, structure destruction theory of quiet plasticity and plasticity dynamics assaults theory's simplifying analysis method about the dynamic respond of the beam to analysis the STCC dynamic respond subjected to the transverse impact, which adopt the same restraint type as the experiment course. Compare with the theory analysis result and the test result, the member's deflection value and impact load average value are identical basically with each other.The research has also been done to the STCC's dynamic respond subjected to a transverse impact during static axial compression, which adopted fixed-simple supported restraint type and the steel tube's wall sickness is 3.5mm. Some discussing has been done about changing the axle pressure value and impactspeed's influence to the impact load, the deflection value of the position assaulted and losing steadily critical energy under the fixed impact stamp mass condition. And on this base, the study has also been done about the influence of changing drop stamp mass to the critical energy of the losing steadily condition.
