In the article, based on the investigation on the typically old bridges and their current situation in He' nan province, it proposes about the health inspection of old bridges. According to the situations of our country, as we know, the protection and maintenance of reinforcement of old bridges is as important as the construction of new ones. It is put forward that the theory of transverse load distribution influence line for an articulated slab-girder bridge and general methods to solve this problem, which meets theory blank on an articulated slab-girder bridge in many teaching books and reference at present. A perfect computer program has been designed to be convenient to engineers. A new scheme of the static loading test rises from the analysis of the finite element theory, which is suitable for the old running bridges with much communications in common cases. The study of theory on an oblique bridge has been developing presently, whose detection methods have been also being explored. Aiming at reactivity, some ways of the static loading test are brought into existence with regard to oblique bridge. For the problem about the carbonization of reinforced concrete and its work lifespan, a detailed inqirement is discussed deeply.Taking the reconstruction projects of the Zhengzhou entrance and exit of the national road G310, G220, G107 to the direction of east , south , and west as the background, some detection of method and technology are introduced for presentive typical birdges such as hollow plate girder bridge, T-beam bridge, centering girder bridge, double-curved bridge , including the test result of health detection. Some useful conclusions form out.Beginning with cracking of main line road' s bridge floor during the detection course, the problems about design and construction of rabbets are analyzed deeply. It is argued that cracks are the reflection of rabbets with inadequacy strength in the transverse direction.This article also argues that the health detection of old bridges should be advocated seriously so that the durability and safety of the bridge structure can be prolonged and guaranteed. If we take measures to protect and reinforce those damaged bridges, we shall avoid the much economic loss and harmful society influence.
