Metric instrumentation is one of the major tasks of the missile tracking telemetry and control system (TT&C). The traditional measuring methods can't keep up with the requirement of the metric instrumentation. While GPS technology can be successful used in the metric instrumentation to get the Time Space and Position Information (TSPI) for the test range.Based on the principle of GPS and missile metric instrumentation, this paper briefly introduces the missile and missile TT&C system, and discusses the traditional measuring methods. Then the GPS metric instrumentation system is introduced, a system with the application of the missile-borne retransmitter being specially advanced. The overall plan of the project is proposed in detail. The relevant technical problem and their solution in application are discussed. The application of the Inverse GPS technology in the missile metric instrumentation is put forward for the first time, and some actual data is calculated. On the foundation of analyzing error's reasons ,a model of the high dynamic Kalman filtering is put forward.A program that processes the transform of the academic trajectory data is designed based on the technique requirement of the test range, which can bring great convenience.
