Closure is one of the key links during the construction of the water resources and hydropower engineering. Its Success or failure, influence the time limit for the project and fabrication cost directly. Especially closure in the large flow, high fall head, soft base channel, navigation during the whole year, is an arduous and strenuous task even more . There are a lot of closure methods, say on the whole, they can be summed up for the two kinds of vertical and horizontal closure methods in general, and the vertical closure method is used most extensive now.In order to carry on closure safely, reliably, high-efficient and scientifically, it is necessary to carry on computation and analyze to various kinds of situations that may appear while closuring, especially to the change of the hydraulic parameters (such as flow velocity) and the ascertain for the throwing particle-size, hold the key factor among them, carry on the planning, design and construction meticulously, carefully, guarantee the project progress and security.For the vertical closure method, the river closure gap hydraulic parameters, as a main objective condition, is always constantly changeable. This thesis combined the riverbed section and plane form, from the two side of hydraulic computation and model test, put forward the method to realized the automatic computation for river closure gap hydraulic parameters and comparison and verification. And through carrying on the secondary development to AutoCAD, realized the common software of automation drawing the topographical section of model test. Based on hydraulics computation technology, finished developing the common application software for one berm-dam vertical closure hydraulic computation.Finally, utilize the above-mentioned research results, carried on the preliminary computation to Longtan Hydraupower Station on the Hongshuihe River and was proved with the result of the model test, put forward the economic, rational, reliable closure scheme, and made satisfactory results.
