This article mainly studies the public building of the Hankou foreign settlement area, specially studies representational religious and financial buildings in stress. Through investigation, literature study and contrast, the article analysis the changes the buildings have experienced date from the time they were constructed, discuss the impetus behind the change. Especially we will seek the changes that occurred during extra time and the changes lead by special affairs, explore the transformation caused by them. It will specially analysis the influence of person's factor as well as the correlative politics, the economic factors in this process. The research mainly divides into two parts. First is the actuality investigation about the leave-behind historical architectures and is emphasized in physical space including how the space and structure work as well as what tectonic is used. Second is emphasized particularly on the non-physical factors such as politics, economic, society and culture. They make up make up of the social space surroundings of the architectures. The article analysis the influence they have given to the architectures. Finally, on the foundation of the investigation and analysis, we will find the key factors that influence the transition of the architectures. We hope to find the adaptive principle and method to protect and reuse the old architectures, and find an effective way to rehabilitation the historical area.
