Adaptive Optics is an all-round subject with science and engineering included. It studies the theory, system, technology and project of automatic wavefront-correction. It has the excellent performance beyond the conventional optical system. And it has a wide application foreground in military affairs and popular area. The resolution of optical system can not reach its diffraction limit because of the phase aberrations caused by atmospheric turbulence and other wavefront errors.Adaptive optics technology uses deformable mirrors to perform dynamic phase modulation and endow optical system the ability to decrease the influence of dynamic wavefoont errors.Micromirros offer advantages in size,weight,speed and performance over the traditional deformable mirrors and have tremendous potential in reducing the cost and weight of adaptive optical systems. Based on fundamental theory, the thesis anlyses the main components in adaptive optical system.According to the pracality of the experiments, we choose the type of deformable mirror . In our experiments, we choose one kind of deformable mirrors with 37 electrods.This kind of deformable mirror has a low remainder stress and excellent surface quality that measure up the demands of experiments. In the part of analysis, we have a research in influence function and voltage-deflection. Finally we deduce the voltage control matrix and correct the static wavefront aberration. The thesis is composed of seven chapters. Chapter One mainly introduces the source, and significance of the project, and expounds on the studies in the field both domestically and internationally. Chapter Two gives academic about adaptive optics and ground the design of adaptive optical system.Chapter Three gives the important technology parameter about deformable mirror. According to the practicality, we select the type of deformable mirror in experiments.Chapter Four studies the influence function of deformable mirror and deduces the voltage controling matrix. Chapter Five finished the close loop correction ability of whole 37-element adaptive optical system based on the computer. Chapter Six gives the summary of the whole thesis. Also some suggestions are proposed to solve the existing problems in the system.
