In the control engineering, the long dead-time system is very common and morerestive. Many methods are showed out in this paper. For the long dead-time system, anew identification method is put forward, which based on the T-S fuzzy model, and therule of the model can be adjust on line. The method is used on the long dead-time systemand got good attract result. On the base of the identification, this article used thegeneralized predictive control algorithm to control the thermal main steam temperaturesystem, which has the character of long dead-time, parameter changed, and non-linear.The result of simulation showed that the method has good control quality, strongrobustness and anti-interference. Furthermore, the base predictive control is improved intwo ways in this article: one for accelerate the adjust speed named one-step generalizedpredictive control, and the other is aimed at the precision enhancement by multi-stepsidentification. The result is ideal.
