With the rapid development of modern power electronic technology and productiontechnology, various types and capacities power electronic installations appear in thepower system, which results in the serious harmonic pollution. Using the respectivemerits of passive power filter and active power filter, Hybrid filer system cancompensate the harmonic current quite ideally. It becomes the research and applicationhot spot in the domestic and foreign. The paper firstly analyzes the filter characteristic ofPF, studies the simulation effect on the parameter changing to influence the impedanceand reactive compensation characteristic. The paper also studies the topology and controlmethod of APF, and then thoroughly analyzes the topology and control technology of thehybrid filter system. Lastly, simulation model of the filter main circuit and control circuitis built in MATLAB. Various control strategy is studied and analyzed.
