This thesis has introduced physical and chemical properties of the colloid, mechanism of the coagulation, current situation about the research and development of coagulants in detail, on this basis, has deeply analyzed the structures of several kinds of inorganic flocculants (FeCl3, AlCl3, PFS and PAC) and organic flocculants (PAM and PAN), has probed into its mechanism of flocculation alone. One essential term for particles' coagulation is to make particles collide each other, which belongs to the mechanism of coagulation and flocculation, therefore, the dynamics of coagulation and flocculation and relevant influencing factors have been introduced. Among all influencing factors, the control of the flocculants' dosage is the key to flocculating control technology. According to theory analysis, we have done several experiments as following three aspects: (1) Confirming the essential time for flocculation; (2) Seeking the allocative decision of energy consumption for agitation in optimum condition; (3) Operating and debugging two kinds of automatic dosage system(FCD and SCD) which are widely used at present. Through theory analysis and several tests , we have found: (1) Any actual project should launch some experiments similar to this research for choosing optimum flocculants and it is the first step to approach to high efficiency and low consumption for actual water quality. (2) the allocative decision of energy consumption making mixing and reaction not separately as usual but combined has offered new consideration and testing program about the value of (G, T), through Jar test utilizing local original water looking for essential design parameters which can be best fit for energy consumption distribution meeting the original water's needs. (3) FCD and SCD can be well applied to controlling water works automatically, however, we need to pay attention to their application conditions, it's hard to confirm the original value of streaming current for SCD and needs a longer time, for FCD the pictures gathered sometimes are unstably, influencing the effect of utilization. Comparatively speaking, FCD is a kind of technology which demonstrates heavy advantage that has great prospect applying to technological transformation for traditional water works using image process of computer. In a word, strengthening coagulation is the key to improving water quality of supplying. The realizing of coagulation enhancement is an effective way to solve the problem of micro-water pollution on the basis of existing routine craft.
