As a high-class multiple type of commercial building, the commercial complex is the most important one, with its benefit of adjusting the frame of the city space, using the land efficiently and enhancement of the profit of commercial function. At the same time, as a high public, high feeling and recreational city space, the commercial complex also very important in progressing civic public life, releasing popular emotion and advancing civic cultural taste. Therefore, it is necessitous to make a study of the commercial complex.This article chooses the cultural image as the angle of view. With retrospection of the history of the commercial complex, through cognition of its cultural value and analysis of its special context, this article tries to express connotation of commercial complex from four aspects-fashion, emotion, publicity and clime. Through analysis of successful examples of the commercial complex, concluding experiences of express cultural image, this article tries to give some advices of how to create excellent center commercial complex in our cities.
