In accordance with the nonlinear and time-varying characteristics of the active power factor correction system, this theme researches the application of Fuzzy control in the active power factor correction (APFC) system.The Boost Convertor is chosen as the main circuit of the APFC system, and its small-single model is built. This lays the foundation of the analysis of the APFC system on the aid of computer. On account of the average current control chosen in the APFC system, it is necessary to sample the current and voltage quickly. So the adapted Single Sampling in One Period method is used. This method reduces the necessary sampling frequency and induce improves the sampling precision. In chapter 4., a model of fuzzy rules is built based on the operator's experiences, then it is changed into an inquiry form. According to the form, the Fuzzy-PI controller is designed and the artificial model of the APFC system is built based on the Simulink-PowerSystemBlock. The simulation results indicate that the input current follows accurately the input voltage. On the basic of the research, a digital control system of the APFC system based on the fuzzy control which regards advanced Intel80C196KC single-chip computer as control core is designed. It includes hardware and software flow design.
