| Geocell is a new geosynthtics which has spatial configuration and predominant propetty. It has been widely used in soft ground reinforcement of many kings of civil engineering currently, and favorable effect was obtained. Several works in this paper is listed as follows, which was studied by theoretical analysis , equation develope, numerical calculate:Firstly, the mechanism of embankment reinforced with geosynthtics was analyzed, according to practice project .different cases of reinforced embankment were compared ,it was concluded that geocell was more effective to control the settlement of soil ground in comparison with geogrid.Secondly, the theorical equation on geocell reinforced mat is developed by vaviational approach, then according to former research, this equation can be certificated.Thirdly, by using the Plaxis FEM software, three kings of embankments were analyzed. The factors which effect on embankments such as the thickness of soft ground, the modulus of geocell mat, the widths of geocell and so on were analyzed. Some useful conclutions were obtained which can been more referenced by congener project.
