In our more than 18000 kilometres coastline, most of muddy and Silty Coast are concentrate on the coastal area where is developed in economy. With the advancing of the national ecnomy, power and trade, lots of cities have the strong dream of building port and cutting new channel. However because of the restriction of the muddy and Silty Coast themselves, the phenomena of siltation is very severity, so it clag the development of port and channel enterprise badly. It has realistic significance to making clear the matter of sand's silting.This article reviews the abundant outcomes which are obtained in researching sand's silting on muddy and Silty Coast by ago experts and contrastes the advantages and disadvantages of all methods in forecasting the sand's silting, then summarizes that the formula which is based on theory and experience is the best way for its oecumenical and short cycle. Taking the out channel of Lian Yungang and Guang River which have the best characteristics of muddy and Silty Coast for example and comparing the results which are forecasted by using Jiaju Liu formula and Zhaosen Luo formula, then finding out the best applied range about the two formulas. At the same time, the article considers richly in the choice of formula's parameters and gives a detailed inspection about them. The result can be the reference of the forecast in future at this area.
