Since 20th century 80's, along with the fast development of the modern motor technology, electronics power technology, micro electron technology, control technology and computer technology, the AC servo-control technology has developed enormously. With the solving of problems of how to control the AC servo motor which were so complex formerly, and the improvement of velocity modulation quality, the performance of AC servo system is enhanced day by day, the price of AC servo systems also tend to be reasonable. In the high accuracy and high performance requirement field, the AC servo systems substitute for the direct current servo systems, that become the development tendency of modern electric power servo systems.According to the motor used in the AC servo systems, the AC servo systems can mainly divided to two kinds, permanent magnetism synchronization motor (SM) AC servo system and induction asynchronous motor (IM) AC servo system. Comparing to the SM, the IM has firm structure, easy manufactured, and the price is inexpensive, thus have good prospect, and represent the development direction of future servo technology.In this paper, the software structure, hardware structure and concrete implementation method of AC servo system based on DSP are introduced. Its hardware consists of a induction motor, the control unit (the DSP chip), the power unit, the position feedback unit and the communication unit. The software of the servo system consists of a position-loop, a speed-loop and a current-loop. With the introducing of the vector control principle, the speed-loop and the current-loop of control system are designed; The basic principle of the parameter identification and the frequency response identification experimental are further introduced, then the regulator of the position-loop and the digital feedforward unit are designed. On the speed-loop and position-loop the experiments, paper shows eventually the control performance of the servo system and the DSP software real-time performance. Experiment result shows that this AC servo system has high control precision and steady running performance, and the general industry performance can be satisfied.
