The guide bearing lubrication performance of hydropower sets is directly relative to the problems of shafting abrasion and vibration. Some fundamental studies on lubrication performance of guide bearing for hydropower sets is aimed at conducting in the paper.The guide bearing with circular arc tiling acts as subject investigated in the paper. Use 5-point finite difference deal with the stable Reynolds equation of lubrication film, which describes the pressure distribution of lubricating oil-film, and dynamical Reynolds equation as well, which describes the pressure distribution under shafting swing. Secondly, solve the discrete equation with SOR iteration. Make it clear that the pressure distribution of lubrication film under guide bearing's stable state. On the basis of previous conclusion, the load feature of lubricating oil-film and film thickness distribution are all penetrated into calculation and the minimal thickness point is also found out.Even more, calculate the load coefficient based on vary eccentricities according to differ ratio in long and short guide bearing of water turbine. Meanwhile, attempt to simplify the computing steps in lubrication problem on guide bearing of water turbine in the paper. Apply the two limit models of radial bearing "infinity width" and "infinity shortness" to the solution to lubrication problems and figure out the coefficient of rigidity and damp ground on the previous two limit models. It can be found out a fact that the film force of guide bearing based on "infinity shortness" changes too sharp to apply it to the simplification calculating, while the "infinite width" model of guide bearing preferably reflects the film-loading performanceThe dynamical film pressure equation of guide bearing for water turbine is also deducted and solved according to the shafting's abrupt change from stable state to swing in the paper. The changing rule ground on analyzing and comparing the shaft' swing back and forth for lubrication film's loading performance indicates that the film resultant force of guide bearing changes little within the excentricity 0.6 about shafting's swing back and forth, while the film resultant force of guide bearing changes sharply when the sets runs at excentricity greater than 0.6.The results even shows there is a certain quasi linearity relation between the excentricity...
