Technology of enhancing heat transfer, which can improve efficiency of heatexchanger and reduce equipment's weight and volume, is always attachedimportance to by scientists and engineers. After energy crisis in 1970s, technologyof enhancing heat transfer is developed greatly. Some technologies of enhancingheat transfer have been applied widely, but there is a same problem in thesetechnologies, namely, fluid resistance's enhancement is more than heat transfer's.For finding a more perfect heat transfer tube, three heat transfer tubes withdifferent shape are studied. All of three tubes have been applied in some fields. Thethree tubes are cross elliptical tube, convergent-divergent tube and orthogonaltraverse rib tube separately. Numerical simulation is main way in the study. For comparison of the three tubes, a new standard about heat transfer and fluidresistance is brought forward. The new standard is simpler and more convenient andhas more specific physical meaning than other known standards. Perhaps, it can beapplied widely in study of heat transfer in future.Performance of a type of tube with similar shape and different geometryparameter maybe has very great diversity, so, at first, every type of tube is simulatedrespectively, and according to results, we confirm most perfect shape and geometryparameter of every tube, then the three different tubes with most perfect shape andgeometry parameter are compared, and on the basis of results, we can know thatperformance of which tube is best. Finally, according to results of numerical simulation and comparison, weanalyze some phenomena appearing in study with field synergy principle.
