Study On Design Of Foundation And Subgrade In Karst Areas

In the paper the geological structure and engineering characteristics of subgrade in Karst areas aresystematically analysed. It is suggested that the design match the geological status, so the foundation design,the ground treatment project shall be special and in accordance with the exact geological status. The authorcarefully analyzed the design, structure and inspection of pile foundation, which is popularly used GuizhouProvince, as well as some problems usually rise in designing, and got some valuable result. This article alsoanalyses and summarizes the optional ground treatment and provides its own systematic treatment. In themean time, this article describes and discusses the design of build-in pile, the calculation method of usingtop layer of Karst cave as foundation soil when the foundation is just upon the top of a Karst cave. Thesedesign and calculation method is very significant to cost saving and easy operation. The research resultshows that, in the geological status in Karst areas, the cost will be obviously reduced, the operationpossibility increased by using the pile foundation design and inspection method introduced in this article.By using the ground treatment and calculation formula in this article, the operation difficulty, investment offoundation and working period shall be decreased;on the other hand, the security shall be improved, thedesign and operation defect ruled out.
