Hydraulic transients of transport water system in water power stations are aboutwater hammer and surge in surge chamber, which are caused by load changes ofelectrical machine set in water diversion system or tail water system. Calculationsabout hydraulic transients are very important to make water power stations safe.Therefore there are so many calculation ways, such as analytic method and graphicalsolution. With the development of electronic computer, electronic arithmetic isbroadly used.Calculations about hydraulic transients of transport water system in water powerstations are key to design of power stations. Usually hydraulic model experiments aredone in analyzing and calculating hydraulic transients. Then researchers makehydraulic simulation in different work conditions and acquire the result data, base onwhich they demonstrate design proposals. But physical model experimentations andhydraulic calculations commonly have some shortages. The result data only isexpressed by text,hydrograph,isoline or two dimensional graph. So it isn'tintuitionistic and can't incarnate the space-time dynamic changes of each parameter.With the development of software, hardware and visualization simulation technology,the hydraulic transition that is invisible formerly is possibly turned to be visible.The thesis introduces the theory and means in details based on which the authordeveloped the visualization simulation software. The software join electronicarithmetic together with graphics system of computer, and makes quantificational,intuitionistic, synchronous and dynamic simulation. The software makes simulationsabout water hammer and surge in surge chamber of water diversion system or tailwater system in the Nuo Zha Du Water Power Station. Then the author validates thesoftware scientific quality and feasibility by the result data of physical modelexperimentations. So it is significative for improving the design level of transportwater system in water power stations.
