To recognize the characteristics of non-Darcian flow, the mechanism, theconstitution equation and numerical simulation method of non-Darcian flow isreviewed at the beginning of this paper.On the basis of the fundamental principle of non-Darcian flow, the potentialvalues, gradient, velocity and seepage quantities of Forchheimei's non-Darcianseepage fields are studied, with the iteration method, N-R method and incrementmethod used when sloving the equations. At the same time, a comparison is madebetween the results of non-Darcian flow analysis and Darcian flow analysis. Theinfluence of parameter 'b' of Forchheimei's non-Darcian seepage fields on thepotential values, gradient, velocity and seepage quantities is studied.Despite of the analysis of non-Darcian seepage fields, the simulation of seepagefailure in two-dimensions seepage fields is studied in this paper. The differencebetween potential values, gradient, velocity and seepage quantities which obtainedbefore failure and after failure are analyzed. It is observed that large gradient valuesoccur at larger fields.
