Research On The Environmental Landscape Of Riverside Open Space Of Central Chongqing City

Water injects natural life and poesy into a noisy city. People's reliance and yearning for water reflects the close relation of People and natural fully. The urban waterside open space is the most vitality place in the city environment. The scenery environment rich in local features,which evolves in the long development of the riverside region of Chongqing City,contributes much to the culture of the city. The blooming economical development and civil constructions of the last decade,however, have continued to deteriorate the environment of the riverside region. The environmental design of waterside open space is faced on the chance and challenge which has never been occurred. The article is begun with the environmental actuality and problems of the riverside open space of Chongqing City and directed by the basic theory of landscape design and landscape ecology, wish to find the suitable landscape elements of the riverside open space of Chongqing City.This thesis includes six chapters,introduction,concept and history,environmental situation,principle of design, landscape elements and conclusion. The thesis is begun with the basic theory, analyses the case of domestic and overseas, then define the material contents. The next research analyses the developed history and actuality of the riverside open space of Chongqing city which is wanted to find the key pattern and problems. The fourth and fifth chapters respectively explore the landscape elements and designing methods of the riverside open space of Chongqing city. The article analyses the landscape elements from three aspects which are natural elements, artificial elements and humanism elements. Natural element is the main gist, which include the natural geography, weather, plants and river; artificial element is the external represent which is consist of shore, stockade, sculpture and cameo, municipal service equipments, bridges and riverfront buildings; and the humanism element is the internal soul of the landscape design of riverside open space which means the renewal of history and culture, the conservation and use of history monument and traditional streets, inheriting and renewing the culture perspective. The fifth chapter sum up seven designing methods: integral, continue, multiplicity, share, arrival, close to water and ecology. The last chapter conclude the whole article and outlook the research in future.
