At the beginning of this paper, reaction analysis of water supplying pipeline which affectedby earthquake was introduced, and a comprehensive assessment model of earthquake damageprediction was presented based on them. After combined the mathematical model with GIScomponents technique and database technique, Daqing earthquake damage prediction system ofwater supplying pipeline was constructed. This paper includes the following three parts:First, through the reaction analysis of water supplying pipeline which affected byearthquake, damage characteristic, damage type and influence factor of water supplying pipelineunder earthquake was found out. Damage judge standard and earthquake damage predictionmathematical model of insertion type and weld type water supplying pipeline was constructedbased on them.Second, GIS components technique was introduced, such as the fundamental function ofMapX software, structural characteristic of spatial data and property data, then, relatedknowledge of SQL Server 2000 database management system was introduced. MapX is a part ofGIS components technique, and it doesn't have database, in order to binding with data, it can beconnected to other database, such as SQL Server 2000, Oracle, Access, so we can develop GISby Server 2000 and MapX together.Third, we has introduced the construction of earthquake damage prediction mathematicalmodel of water supplying pipeline, MapX components develop technique and SQL Server 2000on the above paragraph. Then, taking the water supplying pipeline of Daqing city as an example,we developed the software by VB, and we also introduced image layer management, toolmanagement, data querying and special subject map render function of this software inparticular.
