Along with the rapid development of the national economy and the enhancement of the people lives level, the internal combustion generator is obtaining widespread applications day by day. And small gasoline generator holds the majority of markets in particular in the field with power capacity lower than 10KVA. At present, domestic and foreign researches on small gasoline generators often use mechanical governor to control engine's speed, which results in big overshoot when load changed and has limited the generator's performance. In recent years, to adapt the request of "light" and "miniaturization", adoption of high-speed gasoline engine, permanent magnetism generator with intermediate frequency and inverter technology becomes the direction of small gasoline generators development.This paper takes the small high-speed gasoline generator as the research object, focusing on the designing of electronic speed governor and inverter system. The main works that have been done are as below:By analyzing the gasoline generator's structure and its working principle, the system's mathematical model is deduced, which offers the academic theory for designing the control system.To satisfy the need of the control system on calculating speed and hardware resources, this paper selects C8051F040 as the controller chip and designs the system circuits based on it. RS-232 serial bus is also designed to realize real-time communication between computer and C8051F040.An inverter based on an IPM module is designed according to the requirements for harmonic, voltage and frequency, as well as corresponding protection circuits.A multi-tasks real-time operating system RTX-51 is introduced in this paper. On the basis of analyzing the points that should be cared in the designing of the system that has strict demand for real time response speed, and the gasoline generator's control software is designed by using RTX-51.According to the small gasoline generator's feature and designing request, this paper introduces the Single neuron algorithm that is received the widespread attention at present as well as the commonly used PID control algorithm, and designs controller with respective algorithm. The results of simulation in MATLAB show that Single-neuron adaptive PID controller has much less overshoot than general PID controller in the small high-speed generator control system.
